## What is AEO (AI Engine Optimization)?

## How AEO Scanner Works

4. You get an AI Identity Card showing how AI engines perceive your brand
5. You see a prioritized list of what's wrong, how critical each issue is, and why it matters for AI visibility

## Triple Scoring System

AEO Scanner provides three separate scores that measure different dimensions of AI visibility:

### AEO Score (0-100)
Measures how visible your site is to AI search engines. Checks include:

### GEO Score — AI Citation Readiness (0-100)
Measures how likely AI is to cite your site as a source when answering questions. If AEO is about being found, GEO is about being quoted. Key checks:

**Brand Narrative Clarity**
- Brand name appears naturally in body content
- Clear value proposition ("X does Y for Z") in first 150 words
- AI-extractable summary sentence
- Quotable brand claims with specific metrics
- Tagline consistency across pages
- Comparison and positioning content

**Citation Readiness**
- Citable passage blocks (self-contained 120-180 word passages with specific facts)
- Factual sentence density
- Data density (statistics, numbers, percentages per 500 words)

**Authority Signals**
- Social proof signals (customer counts, testimonials, media mentions)

Measures how easily AI agents can discover, understand, and transact with your service. Checks include:

AI agents can scan websites programmatically. Quick scan is free (rate limited). Paid endpoints use the x402 protocol — pay per call in USDC on Base or Solana. No API keys needed.
